How to Install QuickTime!
BMUG is licensed to distribute QuickTime v1.6.1 and MoviePlayer 1.1 on this Font ROM. If you have more current versions of either QuickTime or MoviePlayer already installed on your hard disk, then you should not use either of these programs. At the time of this writing, QuickTime 2.0 was the most current version from Apple, and was available from a variety of online services and Apple update disks.
If you do not already have QuickTime (or if your version is older than v1.6.1) and if you have System 7.0 or greater, then you may install QuickTime 1.6.1 from this Font ROM. To do so, simply copy the file named “QuickTime™” to the System Folder of your hard disk. Your Macintosh should inform you that Extensions belong in the Extensions folder, and it should ask you if you want QuickTime™ installed there. Click on “OK” and restart your Mac—you are now using QuickTime and may view QuickTime movies.
